Pia Rivetti di Val Cervo, PhD is an assessor at the HTA and Pharmaceutical Economics Department of the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA), is a member of the working group on the European HTA Regulation for Joint Clinical Assessments (JSC) at the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA), and is the Agency's representative in the Joint Scientific Consultations Subgroup (JSC SG).

Her main focus are advanced therapies, thanks to her background in cellular and molecular biology gained when she was a researcher at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden and at the University of Milan, Italy where she focused on cellular reprogramming as a gene therapy approach and cellular model for Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.
