Luigi Naldini, M.D., Ph.D., is Director of the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy and Professor at the San Raffaele University in Milan, Italy. Has pioneered the design and clinical applications of lentiviral vectors and contributed to develop genome editing in HSC and T cells. Has published >300 papers (h-index 110). Past President of ESGCT and currently of SITGEC, received numerous awards including OAA from ESGCT and ASGCT, Beutler Prize from ASH and Jeantet-Collen Prize for Translational Medicine. Founded the start-ups Genenta (listed on Nasdaq), Chroma Medicine and Genespire.
